Bartender

The Ventia team at our Defence Base Services site in Victoria Barracks Southbank, is in need of a reliable, upbeat and responsible Bartender to join the team. The Officers Mess prides itself on the quality of the beverages it serves and has a extensive wine cellar. You'll play an important role in creating a great experience for every guest.

If you enjoy working in a busy environment, delivering great service, and being part of a strong supportive team, this is the role for you!

This is a casual position offering a minimum of 10 hours per week.

• Wednesday 3:30pm-7:30pm
• Friday 2:30pm-8:30pm

What we're looking for

• Great customer service skills
• Bartending experience
• Ability to operate POS system
• Experience making cocktails (advantageous)
• Interest in quality Australian wines, spirits and beers (desirable)
• Basic food preparation (cheese platters and heating snacks)
• Ability to work independently and proactively
• Opening and closing the bar
• General cleaning

Mandatory requirements

• Australian Citizenship
• Current RSA Certificate
• Ability to complete an Australian Police Check and Pre-Employment Assessment as part of the on-boarding process
